Before hanging your new doors, why not treat them with a Treatex stain to acheive your preferred colour finish? This medium wood treatment has a proven reputation and is extremely quick and easy to use.
This Treatex medium stain provides a way to update your internal doors and make sure that they will stay looking their best for many years. Treatex Hardwax Oils are designed to protect your doors against moisture absorption, knocks and scratches whilst at the same time enhancing their appearance and complementing your home interior, so it is essential you apply a protective coat on top of this stain.
This oil will soak into the wood to enhance and alter the colour of the grain, guaranteeing a stylish finsih for your internal doors.
Suitable for all types of internal joinery such as flooring, worktops, stairs, doors and furniture (We have this on our own worktop and cannot recommend it enough)
The colour tone range is not a protectant, Treatex Clear Matt must be applied on top to protect the door
TREATEX IS NOT SUITABLE FOR EXTERNAL USE
Application
Apply with a brush or lint free rag
Ready to use – you don’t need to thin it, simply stir it well.
Apply the first coat thinly, thoroughly and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 8-10 hours ensuring good ventilation. After applying the first coat if you do not achieve the desired finish you’re after, we recommend applying a second coat ensuring the first coat is completely dry.
Next, apply two coats of Treatex Clear Matt using the same method as you used before. Again allow 8-10 hours for drying and ventilate between each layer.
When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine to enhance the sheen.
Usage
1 litre is enough to cover 3 doors with 2 layers. Have a look at our coverage calculator below to see how much you need!
