After a significant amount of time testing different Oils, waxes and Hardwax oils we are pleased to recommend Treatex Hardwax Oil as our preferred method of finishing for our INTERNAL Oak Doors, the reason for this is simple, the finish is the best by far. As the Treatex range has a higher wax content than most on the market the wax will fill up the grain on the door providing a very smooth finish and at the same time helping to slow moisture transfer between wood and the atmosphere.
Treatex Hardwax Oil preserved and enhances the appearance of all types of internal joinery, manufactured on a base of natural and sustainable raw materials including: linseed oil, sunflower oil, beeswax, carnauba wax and candelilla wax.
Being a mix of Oil and Wax, the oil will soak into the wood enhancing the grain, the wax will sit on the surface and fill the grain, ensuring a smooth finish.
