Osmo Polyx Rapid Oil is by the best product that we would recommend our customers use on their internal solid oak doors and any other wood products! This oil is easy to apply and will absorb into the wood grain, enhancing it and giving an overall elegant satin finish, in only a matter of hours.
This fast-drying oil is water resisitant, as well as many other household liquids, so any spills will not impact your woodwork, when treated correctly.
Each litre tin will cover approx. 8 square metres with two coats and any areas where the finish is looking patchy can be simply re-coated to cover those areas. The ingredients in this product are European Pharmascopoeia compliant, ensuring that they are benzene free and contain only de-aromatised white spirit. This means they are child-safe and also resistant to saliva, so you can apply this oil to wooden children’s toys without any worry.
Application
Apply with a brush or roller
Oswax is ready to use – you don’t need to thin it, simply stir it well.
Apply the 1st coat thinly, thoroughly and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 4-6 hours ensuring good ventilation.
Apply the 2nd coat as you did the first – this coat will flow much easier than the first. Again allow 4-6 hours for drying and ventilate well.
When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine.
Clean your brushes or rollers using white spirit or benzene-free brush cleaner.
