If you’re looking for an external oak door with the added insulation and energy efficiency to comply with Part L building regulations, then you’ve found the right door. The Winchester oak veneer external door is a traditional style door with 2 raised panels at the bottom and a large partly obscured glazed panel at the top. The glazed panelled is designed to match the classic style of the door letting as much light in as possible but still giving your privacy. The glazing panel is double glazed to comply with Part L and comes fully fitted into the door.
This door is supplied unfinished ready to be treated with a suitable external door treatment for oak external doors, we recommend the Impranol range for External doors;Click here For Impranol. The door is constructed using the modern dowel method and the raised moulding effect is one side of the door only.
We also supply an Oak Weather bar to match the door, which will be required should the door be “open to the elements”. Sold separately as not everyone will need one…ie if your door is situated within an enclosed porch. Click Here For Oak Weather bars.
Our external doors must be treated before being hung, retreated every six months and kept dry at all times through the use of a canopy or similar. For full guidelines, please visit our External Door Protection Page
